Biography

Dr. Jack Kravitz, M.D., is a board certified family physician who has been in practice for over 25 years. Dr. Kravitz was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended high school in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Kravitz attended college and received his medical school training at George Washington University in Washington D.C., graduating from their school of medicine in 1978.

Dr. Kravitz completed a general internship, as well as an internship in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Gorgas Army Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone.

Following his internships, he spent 2 years at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. Dr. Kravitz returned to Florida to complete his family practice residency in the University of Florida program based at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

In 1987, Dr. Kravitz opened his private medical practice in Margate, Florida, on the campus of Northwest Medical Center. He has been in practice in Margate ever since. 

In August of 2010, Dr. Kravitz and Dr. Gregg Sherman merged their medical practice with HCA Physician Services. Their practice is currently named Northwest Heart and Health Institute and is located in the outpatient pavilion that is connected to Northwest Medical Center. 

In addition to being board certified in Family Practice, Dr. Kravitz is also a board certified geriatrician. His practice involves attending to patients in his medical office, admitting and attending to patients in the hospital, and attending to patients at Park Summit skilled nursing facility, where he currently serves as medical director.

Dr. Kravitz has been married for over 30 years, and has 2 grown children. Dr. Kravitz and his wife enjoy spending time with friends and family and traveling together when the opportunity arises.
