Seeing the world from a kid’s perspective. That’s where our care beings. Because at Northwest Medical Center Kidz Corner, we realize that going to a hospital – for well care or for an emergency – can be a scary experience. Everything seems bigger, stranger, and more intimidating. Our staff is trained to do everything possible to make you and your child feel welcome, safe and secure.
Children can get sick or have an accident when you least expect it. That’s why it is so important to have a highly skilled team of pediatric nurses and board-certified pediatricians specializing in Emergency Medicine working together to provide your little one with the expert care they deserve. We also take pride in, our pediatric emergency fast track program for those unexpected visits to the ER.
Additional medical and surgical services available for your little one includes:

Our Pediatric Services
From the reassuring compassion of our doctors and specialty-trained staff to the home-like design of our 6-bed Pediatric Unit, we'll do everything possible to make you and your child feel comfortable.
We offer overnight accommodations for a parent or guardian so you can stay close to your child. We have a refrigerator and microwave for preparing your child's favorite snack, and cable TV with a VCR and video games.
We offer a full range of diagnostic services including MRI, CT scan, nuclear imaging studies, and a digital EEG, as well as monitoring for intravenous or intramuscular medication administration. Ask your child's doctor for a referral or call us for more details.
Here at Northwest Medical Center, we are committed to ensuring that your child has the best possible surgical experience. Even minor outpatient procedures can be frightening to a child. We minimize that fear by allowing parents to be with their child at all times before and after surgery.
We encourage you to participate in our pre-operative orientation tours so that you and your child will be more familiar with us and more comfortable with the hospital environment. You will have the opportunity to have your questions answered while allowing you child to participate in "hands on" activities to familiarize himself or herself with equipment and surroundings prior to the day of surgery. This helps to reduce fear of the unknown for you and your child. We will also show a videotape explaining the surgical process in simple terms, and we'll even give your child a gift to take home!
Outpatient rehabilitation services for speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy are available for children from birth through adolescence. We also offer an Early Intervention Program, which is an outpatient clinic providing services to infants and toddlers and their families.
Therapeutic assessment and intervention are available in the areas of physical therapy, speech-language and feeding therapy, as well as occupational therapy. These services are available to children requiring continued services after discharge from our NICU or pediatric unit as well as to children in our community.
