Northwest Medical Center remains committed to ensuring the safety of our patients, staff and community.

Effective July 23 at 6:00am, Northwest Medical Center is NOT allowing patient visitors until further notice.

  • Exceptions may be granted for special circumstances. One adult (16+ years) visitor per day will be permitted for:
    • Labor and Delivery patients — one support person and one doula will be allowed; only the one support person will be permitted on the postpartum unit and will be allowed to remain overnight
    • NICU patients — during daytime hours only
    • Patients at or approaching end of life — overnight allowed with approval from the administrator on call (AOC)
    • Surgical patients — during pre-op and post-op period
  • All visitors must wear a face mask properly at all times and must read, acknowledge understanding and attest that they meet our screening criteria before being granted entry into our facility:
    • You do not have any symptoms of COVID–19, which include:
      • fever or chills
      • shortness of breath
      • muscle and/or body aches
      • new loss of taste and/or smell
      • sore throat
      • congestion and/or runny nose
      • nausea and/or vomiting
      • diarrhea
    • You have not been exposed to someone with known or suspected COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
  • Any further questions or exceptions must be routed by AOC via the nursing supervisor for approval.

Effective August 6 at 6:00am, the Northwest Medical Center Emergency Department is NOT allowing patient visitors with the exception of pediatric patients, who may be accompanied by one adult guardian at all times.

Northwest Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

Effective August 11, all outpatient rehabilitation services will be deferred until further notice.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. The health and safety of our patients and caregivers are always our top priority.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
